What to Expect
This session is the one on which the camp was
founded and has grown for the last 50-plus years.
The repertoire consists of music typical for accomplished High School
bands and orchestras. Recent summers' repertoire included movements of
symphonies by Mozart and Mendelssohn, and band works by Holst and
Grainger. We combine a busy routine of rehearsal, instruction and camp
activity with a carefully planned social structure. This results in
impressive growth, both musically and personally. Dorms are supervised
by two adult staff members for each gender and all other camp
activities are supervised by a staff of College age counselors at a
ratio of 1 to 10. Former campers continually say that the major
memories and friendships of their teenage years come from these
sessions.
