What to Expect
Students receive excellent instruction in choral technique, vocal production,music theory, and musical artistry. The music staff is made up of professional performers and educators who work carefully with the camp social staff in order to balance the musical end of things with traditional activities such as campfire, hiking, swimming, volleyball, arts and crafts, etc.
Our conducting staff includes some of the best choral education talent in Southern California.

 John Byun received his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Irvine and his Masters in Choral Conducting from California State University, Long Beach.  He is the director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Riverside City College, where he directs the Chamber Singers and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Byun is also the artistic director of the Temecula Valley Master Chorale.  He has sung with the Orange County Pacific Chorale, as one of the bass contract singers, and has worked with Opera Pacific Chorus and Long Beach Opera Chorus.  Mr. Byun resides in Temecula with his wife Mary and children Mikail and Jade.  


Jason Harney is in his fourth year as Director of Choral Music at Aliso Niguel High School. A California native, he is an honors graduate of Chapman University's conducting program, where he earned the Choral Conducting award in 1996. He spent six years as the Director of Choral Music at Upland High School where he led the choirs in many outstanding performances and awards.  He lives in Aliso Viejo, with his wife of eleven years, Mindy, whom he thanks for her wonderful support and love. The Harneys have two daughters: Clara and Laura, and one son, Evan.


Jaclyn Johnson has been teaching since 2004 and is the current choir director at Murrieta Valley High School.  She obtained two Bachelors Degree in Conducting and Music Education From Chapman University and is working on finishing a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching at Chapman, as well, as a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Cal State University, Long Beach.  Jaclyn has been involved in church music since 2002 and is the music Director at Upland United Methodist Church.
