Arrowbear Music Camp Elementary Sessions

ELEMENTARY

A perfect mix of music and camp fun! The Elementary Session is a 5 day, 4 night summer treat filled with exceptional music opportunities for young musicians ages 9 through 12. Elementary campers will experience a musical environment that is fun, safe, creative, challenging, and supportive. Elementary session is for string players only. Participants will have an opportunity to focus on string technique and expand on the joy of playing a string instruemnt

Level 1: Beginning and just starting - must have instrument and all accessories to play. Camp will provide books and music.

Level 2: Intermediate to advanced - We will form an orchestra and play music, ending with a nice little concert!!

Our inclusive philosophies address not only the enhancement of the camper's musical skills, but also the social/emotional aspect of living and working positively together with other young musicians--creating an environment for the students to succeed while having an experience that they'll remember and cherish for the rest of their lives.

At Arrowbear Music Camp you will:

  • Learn from the best teachers from music programs all over the United States.
  • Grow and gain new skills on your instrument and music in general.
  • Build lifelong friendships with other music students with both musical and traditional camping activities.
  • Experience making music in the natural beauty of an outside mountain setting.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The program of music and fun is carefully balanced to provide an exciting experience. The educators are especially skilled at elementary level teaching. We have three string experts conducting large and small groups, including beginners. In addition, specialists work with individual sections. All non-music time is overseen by college age counselors in a ratio of 1 to 8. Counselors watch especially for “lonely” campers and assist in creating friendships.
